Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

The annual event was held Sept. 7 on the Summerville Campus.

“Students need a place to connect with others. Now we have this fantastic lounge and study space where they can do that,” said Dr. Jennifer Sullivan, interim dean of The Graduate School.

Christen Engel has been named vice president of the Division of Communications and Marketing at Augusta University, a role she’s been serving in as interim since the fall. Engel has managed communications through consolidations, name changes and the recent pandemic.
