Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

The annual event was held Sept. 7 on the Summerville Campus.

Augusta University President Brooks A. Keel, PhD, said the key to a successful future is not only increasing student enrollment, but also retaining those students for at least four years to ensure they receive a degree.

“I feel honored and excited to be leading AMWA for a second time,” said Theresa Rohr-Kirchgraber. “As a Hispanic woman, I am honored to be a first, while also being committed to ensure a pathway to leadership for others.”

Freeman has served as clerkship director at the Medical College of Georgia’s Northwest Campus since it opened in 2013.

PERIOD Augusta University has raised $1,751 via GoFundMe, purchased 7,556 products, donated 3,000 products via various free health clinics that partner with Augusta University and participated in health fairs.
