Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

Renowned immunologists and vascular biologists Drs. Lynn Hedrick and Klaus Ley from the prestigious La Jolla Institute for Immunology in California will begin their new roles as co-directors of the new Center for Immunology at Augusta University in August.

This virtual series is hosted in partnership with the local Book Tavern in downtown Augusta. All sessions are free and open to the public.

Story ideas include: a health fair for those over 55, Augusta University alumni work to reduce water pollution, and a noninvasive way to collect tear fluid could be used to diagnose other health conditions.

Augusta University recently announced plans to form a School of Public Health, which will be a crucial tool in helping promote health in today’s rapidly changing environment.
