
Augusta University celebrates faculty commitment to teaching excellence
The Center for Instructional Innovation at Augusta University recognized 53 faculty members for their ongoing professional growth.
Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

The annual event was held Sept. 7 on the Summerville Campus.

Juneteenth, short for “June Nineteenth,” commemorates the effective end of slavery in the United States.

“Research indicates student veterans are best served when support services are proactive versus reactive, and when support expands across the institution,” said Dr. Stefane Raulerson.

In the ICU, “everybody can recognize if things are going bad, but timing is critical,” said Dr. Vikas Kumar, associate professor at the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Rhoda Sword, associate dentistry professor, and Janice DeLoach, director of IT customer experience, were recently recognized for supporting student mental health.
