Get ready for Weeks of Welcome 2021

Campus activities have returned!

Augusta University is welcoming back students with the annual Weeks of Welcome, a schedule of special activities to help new and returning students kickstart their semester.

Check out the schedule of events:

Welcome Brigade

9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 11 in various across campus

Stop by and take your first day of school pic and pick up a snack and a cool beverage in between classes.

Disc Golf 101

3-5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12 at The Grove on Summerville Campus

Come out and try new discs and play on the mobile pop-up course on the Summerville Campus.

Jaguar Madness

7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13

Meet the AU athletic teams and get pumped for the fall semester! A silent headphone party will take place immediately following the pep rally hosted by the Jaguar Production Crew. Food and transportation will be provided for students.

Pizza & a Plan with the Provost

6:30-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16 in the ballroom of the Jaguar Student Activities Center

Join us for pizza and meet our provost, Dr. Neil MacKinnon, as he shares his passion for career and life planning to empower you with insights on how to make the most of your time at Augusta University.

Student Employment Fair

3-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17 in the JSAC Ballroom

Interested in a paid, part-time position at Augusta University? Bring your resume and come meet with hiring departments in need of student help for the academic year.

Being LGBTQ+ at AU WOW Edition

Noon-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19 in JSAC Coffeehouse

Engage at this programmatic platform that will allow students the opportunity to have educational, candid and cordial discussions involving topics such as privilege, power dynamics, implicit biases, etc. This event will educate and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community at AU.

Welcome Back Bash

6-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20 on the Summerville Campus

Welcome Back Bash is a great way for Greek Life to welcome you back to campus, whether you’re a new or returning student. Join us for an evening of celebration with food, outdoor activities, live music, indoor games and much more!

Beach Day: Clarks Hill Lake

9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21 at Clarks Hill Lake

Come join us for some fun in the sun as we relax on the beach and enjoy the water. There will be games and music, as well as kayaks and paddle boards to check out and paddle to nearby islands. Clarks Hill Lake is located just 30 minutes outside of Augusta.

Club Fest

11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24

Are you interested in joining an organization? Stop by Club Fest and learn about the various clubs/organizations to see which most intrigues you.

Courageous Conversation: Where We’ve Been, Where We Are Now & Where YOU Want Us To Go

6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25 via Microsoft Teams

Be a part of the engaging programmatic platform that will allow you the opportunity to have educational, candid and cordial discussions. This conversation will be about the background of the Multicultural Student Center office, what they do and the future for their office.

Taste of Augusta

11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26 in Grover C. Maxwell Amphitheatre

Come learn about the services that are offered on campus as well as in the community! This event will feature vendors from retail, health, food, entertainment and religious institutions.

Cultural Club Fest

Noon-1:30 p.m.

Stop by and learn how to get involved with multicultural student organizations and departments.
