As many communities across the nation struggle to combat COVID-19, the Athens Free Clinic – sponsored by the Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership – has administered 3,700 vaccine shots to residents in the underserved communities of Athens-Clarke County.

Augusta University has worked to address vaccine hesitancy and battle misconceptions and myths related to the vaccine. But we still need more of Jaguar Nation to be vaccinated to get back to the campus we’re accustomed to experiencing.

“We’re so excited to be partnering with AU to really make this robust and to serve our community and to serve our people and keep them safe and healthy.”

Augusta University will host two student vaccine clinics in the ballroom of the Jaguar Student Activities Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
