 As the number of new cases of COVID-19 rise across the country, health officials are asking Americans to socially distance this Independence Day. Augusta University Health’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Phillip Coule is available to share tips on how to stay safe if you plan to observe the holiday around others.

Look up! It’s World UFO Day

 Today is World UFO Day, and extraterrestrial enthusiasts take this day to raise awareness of unidentified flying objects and the possibility of there being intelligent outer space beings. So, are we alone on planet Earth? Speak with Augusta University Health psychiatrist Dr. Dale Peeples to learn why some people think UFOs are real as a way to transcend the sense of aloneness in the universe.

 COVID-19’s impact on black business owners   

Many small businesses have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially black-owned small businesses. Recent reports show more than 40 percent of black business owners have not worked since April compared to 17 percent of white small-business owners. Schedule an interview with Dr. Wendy Habegger, a lecturer of finance in the James M. Hull College of Business at Augusta University, to learn more about the struggles facing black entrepreneurs during the pandemic and what can be done to assist minority-owned companies in overcoming financial challenges.
