Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

Faculty from the Cardiovascular Center at the Medical College of Georgia and Augusta University Health have been invited to give presentations on building a structural heart program, which focuses on tissues and valves rather than blood vessels of the heart, at one of the world’s largest meetings of interventional and structural cardiologists.

Yvonne Turner, the executive vice president for finance at Augusta University, believes many of the avenues in her life have led her to this exciting new leadership position.

The interdisciplinary program will help AU in its mission to become a comprehensive research university.
