
Augusta University announces 2026 Distinguished Alumni, Outstanding Young Alumni
Augusta University’s Distinguished Alumni and Outstanding Young Alumni award winners will be celebrated during Alumni Weekend.
Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

“This program is a prime example of turning those strengths into opportunities, giving students the chance to bring classroom learning into the real world through paid, meaningful internships right here on campus,” says Russell T. Keen.

The annual event was held Sept. 7 on the Summerville Campus.

The book is designed for current instructors of public administration, political science and social science.

Augusta National Golf Club invites Augusta University students and employees to attend Masters Recruitment Information Sessions at 1 p.m. or 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, in the Jaguar Student Activities Center Ballroom.

Dr. Melanie Kitchens O’Meara, assistant professor of performance studies in the Department of Art and Design at Augusta University, along with six of her students, will be traveling to Louisiana State University this week to present the play “Moving Photographs: A Vanishing Georgia.”

The lunchtime concert series has been a tradition since 2001 where students, faculty and staff come together to showcase their range of artistic talents.
