Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

Neil J. MacKinnon, PhD, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at Augusta University, and Zach Kelehear, EdD, vice provost for instruction and innovation, are excited to announce this year’s call for collaborative research proposals addressing issues in rural health.

“I think it’s advantageous because we (anthropologists) look at health care in a holistic way. Many times those nontraditional students come in with a new creativity and new orientation, and that’s what’s desperately needed in public health and medicine,” said Eric Bailey, PhD, professor at East Carolina University.

The new Graduate Admissions Operations office helps to ease the transition to graduate school, from admissions to graduation.
