
Full steam ahead: McMillian is excited about new opportunities

Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

The new Center for Immunology at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University will dramatically expand research to better harness the power of the immune system to prevent and treat disease.

This year’s keynote speaker was Dr. Roscoe Williams, the first African American faculty or staff to be hired at Augusta College in 1970.

“She is the cornerstone of her department,” Dean Lefebvre said. “And she deserves to be recognized as such.”

Pamplin College has new chairs for its departments of English and World Languages; Social Sciences; and History, Anthropology, and Philosophy.
