The Center for Instructional Innovation at Augusta University recognized 53 faculty members for their ongoing professional growth.
Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

Dental College of Georgia alum Dr. J. Don Spillers, Jr. is responsible for protecting the public health in the practice of dentistry by ensuring that standards are met across the state through his new appointment to the Georgia Board of Dentistry.

“I have witnessed the suffering and death of liver cancer patients since I was in medical school. The suffering of liver cancer patients constantly reminds me and motivates me to develop novel therapies for them using our knowledge I have learned,” said Dr. Yukai He.

In apparently the first study of its kind, investigators used optical genome mapping to get a thorough assessment of the genome of 52 severally ill patients with COVID-19.
