Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

In 1981, Janice Whiting would begin a career at then-Augusta College that would span for 40 years. During the past four decades, Whiting has taught thousands of art students and had her own paintings, drawings and sculptures included in exhibitions across the world.

Two assistant deans in the Dental College of Georgia have recently earned national recognition: Dr. Alan Furness and Dr. Regina Messer.
