Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

The annual event was held Sept. 7 on the Summerville Campus.

“I believe all experience is valuable to learning. VR is unique in allowing an individual to view as if from their own perspective for virtual experiential learning,” said Lynsey Steinberg.

Story ideas include: Those with asthma get a chance to enjoy a camp environment, Pride Month activities include national authors discussing their books and a major donation will help future physicians who serve rural Georgia.

“At Peabody, residents wanted to increase their access to fresh fruits and vegetables,” said Dr. Marlo Vernon. “We know eating fresh fruits and vegetables reduces cancer risk; they also help reduce obesity, which is a cancer risk.”

Augusta University’s museum studies students took a class field trip to the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History to hear about the rich historical events, people and architecture of the area.
