Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

The annual event was held Sept. 7 on the Summerville Campus.

The book is designed for current instructors of public administration, political science and social science.

The back-to-school celebration will be an annual event so people in the area can count on support from the Literacy Center on a year-to-year basis.

“This is a really wonderful labor of love that the College of Nursing and other colleges participate in. It also shows how very important the farming community is,” said Dr. Lester Pretlow.

“BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month is an opportunity for us to raise awareness while also encouraging people to advocate and take action with regard to the mental health detriments experienced by people of color as a result of individual systemic and structural racism,” Dr. Melanie Wilcox said.

Last week, Augusta University President Brooks A. Keel, PhD embarked on his first President’s Summer Tour since 2019, visiting Savannah and Brunswick.
