What began in 2006 as a small, thoughtful partnership between Augusta University’s College of Nursing and Layman Nurseries has blossomed into a 20-year tradition of care. Elisa Jenks, APRN, shares how her passion for language, culture, and service led her to a career in nursing.

As the first Layman Family Scholarship recipient at Augusta University, Elisa found her purpose through the Clinical Nurse Leader program and her longtime involvement with the Costa Layman Health Fair. Now a certified nurse midwife, she continues to serve the Latino community with compassion and care.
