Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

The annual event was held Sept. 7 on the Summerville Campus.

The book is designed for current instructors of public administration, political science and social science.

The kick-off will conclude with a social gathering. Lunch will be provided.

“Adults looking after children really need to pay attention to their child, seeing where they’ve got strengths and trying to channel their activities and interest into those places where a child sees themselves as successful,” said Dr. Dale Peeples.

The back-to-school celebration will be an annual event so people in the area can count on support from the Literacy Center on a year-to-year basis.

“This is a really wonderful labor of love that the College of Nursing and other colleges participate in. It also shows how very important the farming community is,” said Dr. Lester Pretlow.
