Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

More than 900 students participated in ceremonies honoring undergraduate and graduate students for Augusta University’s fall 2023 hooding and commencement ceremonies, held Dec. 13-14 at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center.
“I think the chances of recession have probably slipped a little. I think there’s less chance of a recession. Inflation is certainly still a concern. It’s running at 3.2%, which sounds kind of low, but because of the amount of inflation, we’ve had prices about 20% higher than two years ago, and it’s still a concern and still eating into people’s wages,” said Simon Medcalfe, PhD.
For Briana Campbell, a cybersecurity major graduating from Augusta University’s School of Computer and Cyber Sciences, her experience at AU has been about strategically surrounding herself with people who can help her succeed by approaching each organization and class as a pool of knowledge and less a competition.
