Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

The annual event was held Sept. 7 on the Summerville Campus.

Augusta University receives between 70 to 80 body donations every year and provides support for educational activities and interdisciplinary research throughout its colleges.

Augusta University will host a variety of in-person events highlighting Black culture, regional diversity, African traditions, historical figures, literature and fashion.

The main entrance off Walton Way to AU’s Summerville Campus will be closed Monday, Feb. 9 through Wednesday, Feb. 11. The University Hall shuttle stop will also be impacted.

University leadership is continuing to assess conditions and will provide daily updates to students, faculty and staff regarding campus operations.
