Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

After having several internships during her college career, communication graduate Rakiyah Lenon believes she is prepared for her future career and the internships have brought her closer to the local community.

“This funding is essential for patients whose insurance does not cover this,” said Amanda Reiter, an outpatient oncology dietitian at the GCC.

“Maybe if I can help other people the way they helped me that can be my gift,” said Cathy Tran.
