Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

Bria Carrithers, a fourth-year student at the Medical College of Georgia, is one of 24 medical students nationally to be selected for the American Society of Hematology Minority Medical Student Award Program.
Students at Augusta University got the chance to participate in the Arrive Alive Tour on Sept. 23. The program uses a high-tech simulator, impact video, and several other resources to educate the public about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving.
Augusta University is celebrating the increase of our total student enrollment to 5,676 undergraduate students. Included in that number is over 1,000 freshmen who make up the Class of 2024.
