Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

The annual event was held Sept. 7 on the Summerville Campus.

“This will be a wonderful opportunity for many individuals from the AU community to attend and actively participate in this educational experience,” says Michael Diamond, MD.

“The question we raised was, ‘How is this going to impact the university and athletic department funding?'” says Wesley Meares, PhD.

Presented annually by the Augusta University Arts Council, this year’s event will take place at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 18, in the Natalie and Lansing B. Lee Jr. Auditorium.
