Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

The annual event was held Sept. 7 on the Summerville Campus.
The book is designed for current instructors of public administration, political science and social science.
On Feb. 13, Dr. Nicole Whaley shared her survivor story at the Georgia Trauma Foundation Injury Prevention Day at the Capitol with an audience of more than 100 trauma surgeons, nurses, EMTs, legislators and injury prevention advocates.
Augusta University will host Bridging the Gap medical interpreters training from March 25 through March 29. Workshops include a rigorous curriculum covering an array of topics, including cultural competency, the guide to common medications and interpreting logistics.
The event will run from 12-1 p.m. Friday, March 1. All are invited, and the first 50 in attendance will receive a free boxed lunch.
Those interested in applying for the summer program can begin sending in applications Feb. 25. Registration closes May 17.
