Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

Dr. Brian K. Stansfield, a neonatologist and federally funded investigator at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and the Children’s Hospital of Georgia, has been named vice chair for research in the MCG Department of Pediatrics.
Faculty and staff from Augusta University’s Department of Art and Design, the Center for Instructional Innovation, the Department of Medical Illustration, the College of Education and The Dental College of Georgia stepped forward and used their unique skills to help battle the spread of COVID-19.
It’s been a year since the first six people were tested for the novel coronavirus at Augusta University Health. Since then, Augusta University and AU Health have led the fight across the state of Georgia against the virus and the disease it causes, COVID-19.
