Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

The annual event was held Sept. 7 on the Summerville Campus.

For Briana Campbell, a cybersecurity major graduating from Augusta University’s School of Computer and Cyber Sciences, her experience at AU has been about strategically surrounding herself with people who can help her succeed by approaching each organization and class as a pool of knowledge and less a competition.
“I want to emphasis the hard work we’ve done and the obstacles we’ve faced and the perseverance through it all. There’s many different phases of hard work, there’s many different backgrounds everyone’s from and when we put in the hard work together, it’s something that got us here,” said Deepali Giri, who will be receiving her Master of Science in the nursing program from the College of Nursing.
Augusta University Provost Neil J. MacKinnon, PhD, has announced applications are now being accepted for the 2024-25 Provost Faculty Fellows. Eligible faculty who are interested should apply by Jan. 8.
After 37 years of service in both the Army and the VA, Bill Nolan, PhD, decided he was ready to take his career in psychology, combine it with his love of running and reinvent himself as a sports psychologist and exercise scientist. He retired in January 2013 and immediately enrolled at Augusta University, taking both graduate and undergraduate courses in kinesiology.
