Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

Wycliffe Gordon, Augusta University’s newest director of jazz studies, was named “Best Trombone” by the DownBeat Critics Poll 2018, one of the most prestigious recognition for a jazz musician. This is the fifth time he’s received this award.

Beginning on Monday, July 16, Retail Concepts and Your Silver Connection will be setting up in the lobby of the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.

“There’s a need for greater talent and learning technology for the threat that is constantly changing,” said Calvin Rhodes, executive director of the Georgia Technology Authority and the state government’s chief information officer.
