Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

Dr. Amir Mian, former interim medical director of the Bone Marrow Transplant Program at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, is the new chief of the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University.

Augusta University College of Nursing student Janelle Adae-Mensah is one of this year’s recipients of the Our Race to Health Equity Diversity Nursing Scholarship.

The Arnold P. Gold Foundation, which is dedicated to keeping health care human, recently honored several members of the Augusta University and AU Health community for their excellence in patient care during the pandemic.
