Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

In conjunction with AHEC, the Georgia Cancer Center hosted the Health Sciences Summer Academy, a five-day residential summer program for high school students and rising college freshmen from across the state of Georgia. The program offered students an opportunity to gain knowledge in a variety of health careers and majors.
