Augusta University plans to expand its animation program to include an additional 21 faculty members in the Department of Art and Design, which will make it possible to attract about 400 more animation students in the coming years.

The annual event was held Sept. 7 on the Summerville Campus.

“Just in the same way that students have convocation and their opening moments, we want faculty to understand that they’re joining a community,” said Karen Head, PhD, associate provost for Faculty Affairs.

The new chair of AU’s Department of Medical Illustration wanted to give her students a unique experience that would set them apart in a competitive workforce while taking them a little out of their comfort zones.
“The Georgia indictment is fairly sweeping, both in terms of charges and the number of people indicted. There are many possible implications from the breadth of this indictment,” said Martha Ginn, PhD.
