President’s Gala raises over $500,000

This year’s President’s Gala celebrated Augusta University’s athletics program and our exceptional student-athletes. Thanks to the generosity of the community and supporters of AU, this year’s event raised over $500,000.

“To me, a college education – a university education – is so much more than just what a student gets in a classroom,” said President Brooks Keel in the video above. “I think the social aspects of a college education in many cases are every bit as important as the academic opportunities that a student has a chance to see.”

That was an idea seconded by Athletic Director Clint Bryant.

“Augusta University athletics is much bigger than athletic fields or courts that we play on,” he said. “It’s about the development of young people.”
