According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Colorectal Cancer, a cancer of the colon or rectum, is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States.
In recognition of March being National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, Georgia Regents University’s Institute of Public and Preventative Health (IPPH) will host a free seminar about this disease on Monday, March 2, at Noon in the Augusta-Richmond County Public Library Conference Room A.
Highlighting the session will be IPPH Director Selina A. Smith’s talk “It’s not your weight, it’s your waist.” For more information about this event, call 706-721-1758
