One man’s mission to offer help to male cancer patients

A male breast cancer survivor wants to make sure his fellow men have access to the treatment options needed to win their own fight against cancer.

Cecil Herrin joined leaders from the Georgia Cancer Center Thursday to donate $52,134.15 raised during the second annual Cecil Herrin’s Men’s Breast and Prostate Cancer Walk.

The money will help men pay for things not covered by their health insurance, including screenings, lodging, transportation and some medications.

Herrin talked with Al Dallas, chief of staff at the Georgia Cancer Center, about his passion for helping other men living with cancer.
