Human Resources and other leaders from Augusta University will be handing out special gifts in appreciation to employees for National Hospital Week between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, and Friday, May 15.

Hospital Week started in 1953, to expand on National Hospital Day, first observed in 1921.

“I’ve never worked for a hospital, only health systems, and therefore I have always internally deemed Hospital Week as Health System Week. This happy week for 2020, I will celebrate caregivers in all of our clinical care delivery settings. Happy Health System Week!” AU Health CEO Katrina Keefer said.

Each department should send one designee to pick up for their entire department. (Carts are recommended if it’s a large department.)

The gifts can be picked up throughout the day in the Large Conference Room, BT-1810 at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.
