Celebrate Donate Life Month today

–Please note the new venue–

The Augusta University Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program celebrates Donate Life Month on Friday.

Employees, patients and patient volunteers are invited to Medical Office Buiilding (BA 580) at noon Friday, April 15. President Brooks Keel will deliver a proclamation in support of the month. Employees who have purchased a shirt for National Blue & Green Day are able to wear jeans and their T-shirts in clinical appropriate areas on this day.

Donate Life Month is celebrated nationally throughout the month of April. The Augusta University Kidney and Pancreas Transplant program, along with their patient volunteers, host the annual fundraiser and awareness campaign to honor the gift of organ donation and provide information on how people can register to become an organ donor.

The team works year-round to raise money to help kidney transplant patients, donors and their loved ones with transplant-related expenses. This year, funds will also go towards a commemorative tribute to organ donors and an annual ceremony celebrating donations. See augustahealth.org/donatelifemonth for more information.
