Augusta University partners with CVS/Caremark for employee flu vaccine clinics

Employee health and well-being is of utmost importance. With influenza season approaching, Augusta University has partnered with CVS/Caremark to host a series of convenient flu shot clinics for faculty and staff on the Health Sciences and Summerville campuses.

If you are currently enrolled in a University System of Georgia health insurance plan, flu shots are free at any CVS/Caremark location.

If you are not enrolled in a USG health insurance plan, CVS/Caremark accepts most insurances, so you will still be able to obtain a flu shot at one of the clinics.

You may also make your own arrangements with your preferred health care provider and/or pharmacy to administer your flu shot. Human Resources has scheduled these four flu shot clinics to make it more convenient for many of you to receive your vaccine on the Health Sciences or Summerville campuses, and we hope you will take advantage of these opportunities.

Due to the need to social distance, all flu shot clinics will be by appointment only, and you must preregister. During the registration process, you will be asked to enter your USG health insurance information (Anthem or other health insurance member ID). If you do not enter this information at the time of the advance registration, you must bring your member ID card with you to your appointment.

Faculty and staff should register in advance by clicking on the desired linked dates below. First, you will be prompted to complete a three-question screening, and then the selected date will appear for you to complete the registration process.

Well-being Credits Available: Employees and spouses who are enrolled in a USG health insurance plan and who obtain their flu shot after Oct. 1, 2020, can earn $10 toward your $100 well-being credit for plan year 2021. For more information, visit the USG Well-being Initiative.
