“We hope our new Jags leave Convocation feeling that they’re supported and welcomed by our campus community,” said Elizabeth Huggins, EdD.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance or at the door. Proceeds of the event will go to the Georgia Cancer Center.

These students will complete medical school in 3 years, enter into a Georgia residency program and then serve in rural or underserved Georgia.
“My hope is that this conference has energized this group to start their careers with Jag Nation engaged and ready to guide our students to success," said Zach Kelehear, EdD.
“This could positively impact care for children with brain tumors by improving their quality of life,” said Theodore Johnson, MD, PhD.
A key problem is the loss of “redox balance” between harmful molecules called reactive oxygen species and helpful molecules like nitric oxide.
“I get to meet so many different students with diverse and creative ideas about learning and the research process,” says Thomas Weeks.
"This event is one of the significant ways we can help educationally, in addition to our daily services,” said Sam Klein.
“We need nurses, and there are people who need help to get there,” said Ollie Creasy.
"We want to use the STAR Program as a platform to showcase all of the PhD programs we have here at AU," said Dean of The Graduate School Jennifer C. Sullivan, PhD.
