Dr. Joseph Hobbs, longtime chair of the Department of Family Medicine, reflects on his experiences as one of the Medical College of Georgia‘s first black students.

Hobbs entered MCG after he received his undergraduate degree at Mercer University and later helped shape the university by serving in various roles, including associate dean.
