Volunteers still needed

The following email was distributed the Augusta University/Augusta University Health family on Monday, Sept. 11

AU / AU Health Family:

It is during a time like this when we realize just exactly what it means to help our neighbors.  No matter the severity of the storm, or how far its footprint reaches, I hope we can pull together to offer our help and support.  Despite your personal expertise or training, you can demonstrate what AU-strong is all about.

We continue to need volunteers at our shelters.  ALL VOLUNTEERS are needed, with medical volunteer presence at all seven local shelters.  Please call the hotline (706) 729-2193 for instructions on how to get involved during this time of need.

With my deepest appreciation for your time and efforts,

Lee Ann Liska, MBA, FACHE
Executive Vice President for Health Affairs
Chief Executive Officer, AU Medical Center
