Professional development workshops
TGS has launched a professional development speaker series for the fall 2025 semester. The series is designed to help graduate students invest in their growth, connect with colleagues across campus and prepare for future career success.
Speakers will cover a wide range of high-impact topics, including time management, navigating finances, public speaking, emotional intelligence and more. AU graduate students and postdoctoral fellows can view the full calendar and register for upcoming workshops on the TGS Professional Development page. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.

Graduate Ambassadors
The Graduate Ambassador Program offers graduate students the opportunity to develop leadership skills, engage in service projects aligned with their interests and expand their professional networks. Selected candidates participate in monthly professional development workshops tailored to their cohort.

LinkedIn Learning
TGS provides graduate students and postdoctoral fellows free access to thousands of expert-led online courses through LinkedIn Learning. This platform allows students to build in-demand skills, sharpen expertise and enhance career potential. Eligible students can activate their accounts online.
In addition, TGS has created certificates that allow students to showcase completed courses and highlight accomplishments on their LinkedIn profiles. Details about certification paths are available on TGS’ LinkedIn Learning page.
