Nothing quite replaces the unique and special experience of visiting a college campus in person. See Augusta brings that experience to life, inviting prospective students to explore academic interests, walk the campus alongside current students, navigate buildings between classes and lounge with new friends in common spaces.
Attendees at this fall’s event included a diverse group of prospective students, ranging from current high school students to potential transfer and non-degree-seeking students from across Georgia and surrounding states.
“See Augusta is the most comprehensive experience we offer for prospective undergraduate students and their families,” said Amy Clines, EdD, director of Undergraduate Admissions. “It truly is the only event where the entire campus community shows up to share all the wonderful things about AU with others who are considering joining it.”

See Augusta’s cross-campus collaboration spotlights many campus partners, including Augusta University’s colleges and schools, academic programs, campus life, residence halls, labs and on-campus support. Personalized tracks allow attendees to select the tours and sessions that interest them most, covering topics like the transfer process, financial aid, the admissions process, student life and the Professional Scholars Programs.
Casey Ramsey, associate director of Campus Visits and Welcome Center, explains that early-action applicants will receive their admission decisions soon, so the fall event builds that knowledge, awareness and preparation.
“The ‘make your own schedule’ format is a great way for students to get relevant information based on how close they are to enrolling,” he said. “For example, a high school senior might be more interested in the financial aid information session because that kind of thing is very top of mind for someone for whom college is less than a year away. A junior might lean more toward the ‘Admissions 101′ breakout session because it truly lays out the application process from beginning to end and explains every step in detail. It’s a great place to start for students who will officially start applying next year.”
See Augusta provides a realistic glimpse into what life as a Jaguar is really like.

Mollie Jones, a potential transfer student from Middle Georgia State University, explored her interest and passion in healthcare by attending a current student panel that enlightened her on potentially pursuing the pre-physician assistant or radiation therapy programs.
“See Augusta really solidified my choice in attending here,” Jones said. “The campus is really pretty and just walking around has a nice vibe to it. I want somewhere where I feel welcomed and can make friends without feeling judged. Having events on campus where I can make friends is very important to me.”
That sense of belonging played an important role in Jones’ remaining sessions, choosing to explore the Health Sciences Campus where she could preview student life as a future healthcare practitioner.
This year also offered a special preview of the upcoming Bachelor of Science in Public Health, launching fall 2027. The program will provide a foundational degree for students interested in a broad range of health sciences careers.
“See Augusta is a great opportunity to introduce students to programs they may not have heard of or even considered before,” said Sam Reece, coordinator for Campus Visit Experiences. “I think that is one of the coolest parts of See Augusta – students can come in thinking they know what they want to do and leave having discovered a whole new path they didn’t know was available to them.”

Zarria Jenkins, a high school senior at Newton College and Career Academy, is looking to combine her interests in criminal justice and psychology, with plans to potentially major in psychology. She hopes to eventually become a psychological profiler, where she can improve the criminal justice system through a deeper understanding of human behavior.
She attended several sessions to gain a better understanding of the different academic and professional offerings, including one hosted by the Katherine Reese Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences in the Fine Arts Recital Hall. During the session, a student panel representing a variety of majors answered questions about coursework, internships and other opportunities.
“The community here is so strong, and it feels easy to communicate with people without feeling nervous,” Jenkins said.
At the end of the day, the Undergraduate Admissions team hopes that prospective students and families walk away with a full picture of what Augusta University has to offer.
The next See Augusta event will take place on Saturday, March 20, 2027. In the meantime, prospective students can explore a variety of opportunities through in-person, regional and virtual visits.
