Roosevelt Warm Springs Rehabilitation and Specialty Hospitals recently earned gold status membership in the Georgia Department of Public Health Honor Roll for Antibiotic Stewardship.
Antibiotic stewardship is the practice of ensuring appropriate and judicious use of antibiotics to improve treatment of infectious disease while reducing the potential harms from misuse. The Georgia Honor Roll for Antibiotic Stewardship was established in 2014 by the Georgia Healthcare-Associated Infections Advisory Committee.
RWSH is one of only 16 Gold status hospitals in Georgia and the only rehabilitation or long-term acute care hospital recognized at any level.
