Raising awareness about preventing skin cancer before it happens

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month and a great time to remind you about the dangers of being out in the sun for too long. News 12 NBC 26 reporter Britney Craig interviewed Dr. Jigarkumar Parikh, with the Georgia Cancer Center, about what you can do to protect yourself and your family.

The story centered around a woman who was diagnosed with skin cancer after finding something on one of her toes before taking a trip to a salon for a pedicure.
