Pop-up parade honors health care workers: In photos

Historic military vehicles from World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars made their way through the medical district of Augusta, including the Augusta University Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Georgia, on July 6 in a show of appreciation for health care workers.

This pop-up parade was the brainchild of former Augusta mayor Bob Young. Health care workers greeted the trucks, motorcycles and other vehicles as they went by Monday morning.
