WARM SPRINGS, Ga. – Chris Peters, a rehabilitation technician at Roosevelt Warm Springs Rehabilitation and Specialty Hospitals, is the inaugural recipient of the Employee of the Quarter Legacy Award. This new award for 2016 gets it name from the long legacy of clinical excellence provided at RWSH throughout its 88-year history.

Peters was nominated, in part, for being a “perfect example of how teamwork and customer service should be practiced at RWSH,” according to his nomination. He was awarded $50 and a framed commemorative certificate, as well as recognition in the company’s newsletter and with a brief ceremony at the facility.

Peters said that he gives credit for his success to having a great group of people to work with, especially his supervisor, Sonal Nakrani, the director of Professional Services.

Other nominees for the first Legacy Award included Kim Wells, director of Pharmacy, Sandra Hatcher, patient care aide, Teresa Birks, LPN, Larry Willis, rehabilitative technician, Cathy Harbin, director of Nursing, and Jan Greene, IRH nurse manager.

The Legacy Award will be given quarterly to an employee who demonstrates work behaviors or actions that rise above the normal scope of job duties. To be considered, an employee must be nominated by his or her peers.
