Multicultural Student Engagement hosts Unity Talent Show

Multicultural Student Engagement at Augusta University will host the Unity Talent Show at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18 in the Grover C. Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre on the Summerville Campus.

According to MSE, the Unity Talent Show celebrates the diverse student body and aims to amplify a core Augusta University value of inclusivity by promoting cultural awareness and social justice initiatives. Students who perform plan to showcase their talents through singing, dancing, playing musical instruments and performing spoken word, to name a few.

Those who participate will have an opportunity to be awarded scholarships, with a $500 scholarship going to the first-place winner, a $250 scholarship to the second-place winner and a $150 scholarship to the third-place winner.

Last month, students had the opportunity to audition via a video submission before being selected to participate in the show.

This event marks the third year for the show. The first 50 students in attendance will receive a free T-shirt.

Those interested in learning more information are encouraged to visit the Multicultural Student Engagement office.
