MCG alumni support first-year medical students with stethoscopes

The Medical College of Georgia Alumni Association partnered with Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement to distribute more than 250 stethoscopes to first-year medical students prior to the start of fall semester. On July 26, 200 stethoscopes were presented on the Health Sciences Campus in Augusta, and on July 28, 60 were distributed to students on the AU/UGA Medical Partnership campus in Athens on July 28.

Each stethoscope was individually boxed and accompanied by a heartfelt note from one of many MCG alumni who helped underwrite the cost of the instruments. Not only were the students appreciative of the welcoming gift, but the alumni, faculty and staff also expressed their excitement for this opportunity to give back to future MCG alumni.

If you would like to help fund the gift of stethoscopes for medical students, complete the MCG donation form.
