WATCH: Leaders raise beam to link College of Science and Mathematics to research

Augusta University President Brooks A. Keel, PhD, and Medical College of Georgia Dean David Hess joined College of Science and Mathematics Dean John Sutherland on Jan. 20 to deliver remarks as a beam was raised for the pedestrian bridge being constructed between the new College of Science and Mathematics and the Interdisciplinary Research Center.

Not only will the bridge link the two buildings on the Health Sciences Campus at Augusta University, but it will also open the door for new collaborations in research among faculty, graduate students, and, soon, undergraduates in science and math.

Construction should be completed this summer, and classes will begin in the new building in Fall 2021. Follow the project and find out how you can help support the next step in AU’s growth.
