Holiday Maker’s Market returns to the Georgia Cyber Center

‘Tis the season for supporting creativity and entrepreneurship.

The Augusta University community will come together to celebrate and support faculty, staff, students and alumni entrepreneurs at the second annual Holiday Maker’s Market on Friday, Nov. 13 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Georgia Cyber Center at Augusta University. Nearly three dozen vendors are expected to showcase a variety of products, including artwork, jewelry, handcrafted goods and food.

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, this year’s market will feature an increased number of vendors, with a notable expansion in student entrepreneur participation. In addition to Augusta University-affiliated vendors, local businesses from across the community will also be represented, creating even more opportunities for attendees to discover unique products and support small businesses ahead of the holiday shopping season.

“We are excited to bring the Maker’s Market back for a second year and provide a space for our entrepreneurial community to showcase their talents, creativity and businesses,” said Lynsey Steinberg, director of academic entrepreneurship. “The growth in vendor participation, especially among our student entrepreneurs, reflects the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit that continues to thrive at Augusta University.”

The Maker’s Market aligns with AU’s commitment to fostering experiential learning and supporting entrepreneurial development across campus.

“The Maker’s Market is a great example of career-integrated learning in action. It gives our students and other members of the Augusta University community an opportunity to turn their creativity and ideas into real-world experiences while building entrepreneurial and professional skills that extend well beyond the classroom,” said Stanley Singleton, PhD, associate vice president of Career-Integrated Learning.

Attendees are encouraged to shop local, discover one-of-a-kind gifts and support emerging and established entrepreneurs as the holiday season approaches.
