Ever pondered what a world without breast cancer would be like? Perplexed by the lack of a cure?
Then perhaps the Pink Pumpkin Party is right up your proverbial alley.
Put on your best pink attire and join us on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the J. Harold Harrison, M.D. Education Commons for a fun-filled day of music, dancing, face-painting and pumpkin-decorating competition in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Think you have the design chops to pull-off the best pumpkin in show? Have the perfect pink outfit to show off? Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated pumpkin and the”best dressed in pink” participant. Cost of participation is $5 per pumpkin (which includes the cost of decorations). “Baby Boos” (miniature pumpkins) will be available for donation. Breast cancer survivors attend free of charge.
Proceeds will help provide free mammograms at the Augusta University Health Breast Health Center for persons in need.
This event is open to the public, so come party with us and help us put a stop to breast cancer forever!
