Outstanding Faculty Award for Hull College of Business
Within the walls of Hull College, Stacy Roberts, DBA, isn’t just teaching students; she is molding the future by developing quality leaders, particularly women.
As the program facilitator of the Women’s Leadership Academy, Roberts works to cultivate future women leaders through guest speakers, lessons, assessments and a servant leadership project.
“I love building healthy, professional relationships with my students and using the gifts God gave me to instill knowledge and wisdom they can carry throughout life,” she said. “I love watching them develop and reach their educational and professional goals.”
Roberts, a lecturer of management at Hull, has been at Augusta University since 2018. She is a certified executive and leadership trainer, a skill she employs using the True Colors Self-Discovery tool to support students with self-awareness and teams with understanding how different behaviors can impact the workplace.
“It is a blessing to positively impact students and assist in their growth,” she said. “I am grateful for this award and appreciate the acknowledgement. I love to teach and work with students. I am thankful to work in a department where I can be creative, strategic and be supported in impacting students. It means a lot to have a job you love and the support necessary to do it effectively.”
Roberts plans to expand the Women’s Leadership Academy, implement more programming and executive education and continue to inspire future leaders.
“I thank God every day for allowing me to have a career I love, my deans, coworkers and students. I truly enjoy coming to work and my daily responsibilities.”
